About me
I'll keep this short.
My dad asked me if I wanted to write a book with him at the age of 12. I said yes. Then I did it on my own. The creative processes of writing and video have never left me since then. They've only grown. They're insatiable.
I graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2006 with a Bachelor's in journalism and a minor in video production. I have worked at four newspapers in my life at some capacity. I've covered crime, education, technology, features, faith and video.
My short film "A Book By Its Cover," which I made with my friend Brittany Lee, was official selection at the San Fernando Valley International Film Festival in 2007. You can see that film under the "Videos" tab on this site. I've produced a full-length documentary for the Klamath Blues Festival, which they continue to use as an official marketing tool. You can see it at www.klamathblues.org.
I'm a newlywed, husband to my amazing wife, Heather, a nurse. My mother is a teacher, my father an independent military contractor and engineer, my sister an aspiring veterinarian. All three live in Colorado. My brother is an actor and singer living in New York. I'm proud of my family.
I also profess a faith in something bigger than this world. I believe a Loving God created all this, that He is the the Grand Artist, that He created creativity. I'm blessed to know Him.
"And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze." - Exodus 35:31-32
